I am extremely happy to be able to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Nidec’ s founding, a truly noteworthy milestone, as a member of the Nidec Group.
There are not many corporate groups that continue to orchestrate such significant growth 50 years after their establishment.
We have a long history that stretches back to 1915, the year of our business’ s founding, but we encountered a series of challenges that prevented us from growing as a company.
After becoming part of the Nidec Group last year, our approach to management changed dramatically, and we were reborn as a new company that will pursue growth wholeheartedly.
Having become a wholly owned subsidiary this March, we will be able to leverage the benefits of synergies with group companies even more effectively, and that makes this 50-year anniversary a time for renewed resolution on our part.
Our products, machine tools, are the mother machines of industry, and they play an essential role in manufacturing; the machine tool business will continue to be a key sector for the manufacturing industry.
Our Machine Tool Division, which was launched this April, will play an important role in underpinning the future success and growth of the Nidec Group, and it will become a prime mover in the intensely competitive machine tool industry.
As a newcomer to the Group, we are especially eager to work alongside other group companies to realize even greater growth and development as we embark on the next 100 years.
