Holding torque
Holding torque
Defined as the maximum static torque that can be applied to the shaft of a motor excited with a rated current in a specific mode without causing continuous rotation.
Detent torque
Defined as the maximum static torque that can be applied to the shaft of an unexcited motor without causing continuous rotation.
