Ferrite magnet
Ferrite magnets, also known as ceramic magnets, are magnets made from iron oxide chemically combined with a metallic element. They are electrically nonconductive but ferromagnetic, meaning they can be magnetized or attracted to another magnet. Ferrite magnets are often used in low-cost motors as seen in fig. (a). Figure (b) shows temperature dependence of demagnetization characteristics of ferrite magnets. It should be noted that there are soft ferrites, the coercive intensity of which being almost zero.
