Descending characteristics
The figure shows the torque versus speed characteristics of two types of motors. Blue is the characteristic of a positioning control motor (servo motor), while red is the characteristic of a general industrial induction motor. In the case of a servomotor, the torque decreases as the speed increases. This is called a descent characteristic.
