to various fields. Now, in the current revolutionary times, the Group is trying to establish a technological infrastructure based on a long-term perspective. With research and development centers established in three regions in Asia, Nidec stays committed to enhancing its basic technologies, keeping a possible entry into new areas of business in mind.

1. Nidec's Motors for People's Lives and the Environment
Nidec Corporation wishes to improve its technology, help people's lives, and continue to supply products that help reduce environmental burden.
2. Basic Research for a Better Future
Nidec Corporation will open a motor research and development center in Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan in FY2012 and FY2013. Mr. Fukunaga, who will supervise the centers, speaks about the background and purposes of their establishment, and their characteristics.
3. Weaving a Future by Practicing “Three Basic Management Creeds”
By engaging in CSR management based on its "Three Management Creeds," the Nidec Group strives to contribute to the sustainable society.
