Nidec Instruments Launches New Card Printing-Issuing Machine

Nidec Instruments Corporation (“Nidec Instruments” or the “Company”), a group company of Nidec Corporation, announced today that it has launched a new card printing-issuing machine for unmanned kiosk terminals^*.

Amid and after the pandemic, the needs for kiosk terminals with non-face-to-face functions have been growing year after year. This new, full-color card printing-issuing machine launched by Nidec Instruments, which is intended for unmanned kiosk terminals, has inside a card hopper, or a space to store cards, and can have a kiosk terminal select an arbitrary image to print for certain users, and issue a card on the spot.

With its ATM card readers occupying 80% of the global market share, the Company is highly evaluated by financial institutions, which are required to secure reliability for their services. This latest product, which utilizes the Company’s knowhow from its card readers for financial institutions, boasts high reliability for its magnetic information reading, IC communication, and transferring functions. Additionally, with its four card hoppers that can each contain up to 400 cards, MSP150-3AM4221 can print four different kinds of cards (i.e., 1,600 cards in total) at a fastest speed in the industry.
