Nidec Corporation (TSE: 6594; OTC US: NJDCY) (the “Company”) announced today that the machine tool manufacturers of its group companies, Nidec Machine Tool Corporation and Nidec OKK Corporation, will exhibit their products at the 31st Japan International Machine Tool Fair (“JIMTOF”), scheduled to be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) from Tuesday, November 08 – Sunday, November 13. This is the first time for Nidec Group to run booth at this event, which is one of the world’s four major machine tool fairs.
After purchasing a machine tool business from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. last August, the Company established Nidec Machine Tool Corporation, and entered into the machine tool business. Later, for the purpose of launching its machine tool business in full scale, the Company completed the purchase of the shares of OKK Corporation February this year, and launched Nidec OKK Corporation in July, to grow and expand Nidec’s machine tool business. At this upcoming JIMTOF2022, Nidec Machine Tool and Nidec OKK will run joint booths to showcase their products as they aim to become a comprehensive machine tool manufacturer based on the One Nidec policy
Since joining the Nidec Group, both Nidec Machine Tool and Nidec OKK have been accelerating their pace of collaboration – in product development and many other areas – to create synergies. The joint product exhibition at JIMTOF2022 will be emblematic of such inter-company cooperation. Based on the common theme, “Nidec's Machine Tool opens the door to the future with technology - take on the challenge to change and make dreams a reality ” the two companies will exhibit the actual models and images of their products, applications, etc. that use their cutting-edge technologies. In addition, by unveiling a large lineup of new products and services born out of technical collaborations, Nidec Machine Tool and Nidec OKK will work as a united “One Nidec” team to offer new solutions to issues that manufacturers are facing.
