Our technical capabilities

Manufacturing

Our global factories continue to take on the challenge of innovating manufacturing based on the concept of "Smart factory".

The concept of the smart factory we are promoting consists of three innovations: "Manufacturing Innovation," "DX Innovation," and "SCM Innovation."

In "Manufacturing Innovation," we aim to promote automation and flexibility by defining the optimal line concept according to production volume and variety. In "DX Innovation," in addition to the traceability system for quality information, we also utilize equipment operation information and quality information to lead to various improvements. In the future, we aim to create a line that does not stop through predictive maintenance and a line that can only produce good products. In "SCM Innovation," we continue to challenge ourselves to shorten lead times and reduce inventory in order to meet customer needs in a timely manner, aiming for the fastest SCM. In particular, we have embodied these concepts at our mother factory, Iida Factory in Nagano Prefecture, and are expanding them to eight factories overseas. One example of particular evolution in recent years is the realization of fewer and unmanned tasks by making full use of collaborative robots and AI to perform tasks that were previously only done by humans.

SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Line

The process of attaching electronic components to a circuit board. We handle components of various types and sizes, and mount each one with precise operation.

Automated production line

By automating the production line, we aim to achieve both quality and cost. Also, by analyzing data collected from the line, we are implementing quality control and predictive management.

Collaborative robot

By automating sensory inspection (sight, hearing, touch) using AI and automating the assembly process with collaborative robots, we are able to increase work efficiency and reduce the number of workers required through collaboration between humans and robots.

Automated parts handling machine

By installing equipment that automatically transports parts within the automated production line, we are able to increase work efficiency and reduce the number of workers required through collaboration between humans and robots.
