ESG stands for Environmental Social and Governance. It is a general term used to measure the sustainability and ethical, environmental impact of businesses on society. Socially responsible investors make investment decisions using ESG criteria. This section discusses our key approaches to managing its "G" aspects.
Golden Rules

Our reputation for honesty and integrity among our customers, shareholders, investors,
and other stakeholders is a key to the growth and prosperity of the Group.
We will not achieve any result through violations of laws and regulations or through disingenuous business transactions.
As a member of the Nidec Group, we have established more specific guidelines for conduct
in the form of the "Goloden Rules" based on the Group Compliance Code of Conduct.
■ Think and act from customers’ point of view
- - Both individuals and companies grow by making efforts to meet customer expectations.
- - Consider the background to the customer's requests and demands from the customer's perspective
and respond appropriately.
- - There are cases where accepting all of the customer's requests is not in the customer's best interest.
When it is not in the customer's best interest, it is also necessary to have the courage to say "No."
- - Even within the company, think of subsequent processes as customers.
■ Bad News First
- - When you find the seeds of a problem, report it immediately.
- - After receiving the report, take action to minimize risk immediately.
- - Remember that problems that would result in minimal losses if dealt with quickly can lead to major losses if reported and dealt with late.
■ First look at facts
- - "First look at facts" represents the three actuals: the actual place, the actual thing, and the actual phenomenon.
- - Correct decisions can be made for all processes and operations by visiting the actual place, picking up the actual thing,
and understanding the actual phenomenon.
- - Finding facts on the ground that cannot be grasped by numbers and data alone allows for appropriate responses and decisions.
■ Action first with speed
- - Act quickly and get results quickly.
- - Even if it's not perfect, use all your wisdom and do what you can first.
- - Speed is a company's competitive edge. Act with speed in mind.
