Automotive Business 40th+1

Our automotive business was launched in 1983, we celebrated our 40th anniversary in 2023. We would like to thank our customers, business partners, employees, and all stakeholders who have supported us so far.

1983 was also the year that Tokyo Disneyland opened. Disneyland, known as the "Land of Dreams" has evolved over its 40-year history. We, NIDEC MOBILITY CORPORATION also wish to remain being a company (a solution company) that can give dreams and excitements to end users in the car society with our technology.

We have bases in 13 countries and do business with customers all over the world making use of our global network. Overseas sales account for 86% of our sales, and our business is growing steadily globally. Our mission, "Anticipating the future of the car society, we stay committed to evolving our ‘Monozukuri capabilities’ to help people live with cars in a complete harmony.” is the purpose of our company's existence and will remain unchanged in the future. We will continue to develop our business in line with the needs of society and our customers.

Over the past 40 years, we have brought to the world a variety of world’s and Japan’s first products. We aim to be an even more environmentally friendly company in the product life cycle, including not only our products but also our production. We will continue to challenge ourselves for the next 40 years to remain being a company that is needed by society.

A period of 40 years might seem like just a blink of an eye on a global timeline, but that moment was undoubtedly a turbulent time for Nidec Mobility, challenging and fighting in the midst of the whirlpool of change in the world since launching our business.

Nidec Mobility is developed on a strong foundation built by many colleagues who have taken on challenges through our business and continued to contribute to society together with our stakeholders. This is not something that can be talked about as history, but is a constant build-up for the future.

People who are called top athletes and professionals set high goals without setting their own limits, and continue to keep tackling what needs to be done on a daily basis with sincere determination to achieve those high goals. We at Nidec Mobility hope to continue to be a group of such colleagues, and a group full of a spirit of challenge that can feel the joy of growing ourselves through the growth and development of our business.

We will continue to prepare to take on the future, continue to tackle social issues that arise in the midst of major changes in the mobility society, and aim to be a one-of-a-kind group that creates value that is necessary for the world.
