| 1998 | January | Kyoritsu Machinery Co., Ltd. changed its name to Nidec Machinery Corporation and became a member of the Nidec Group. |
| 1999 | July | Expanded development and production systems through addition of head office and plants. |
| 2002 | March | Established Nidec Equipment (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. in Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province, China, jointly with 5 Nidec group companies. Started production (processing and assembly) and procurement of parts and materials in the 4th Division in September. |
