Nidec Corporation (TSE: 6594; OTC US: NJDCY) (the “Company”) today announced that the Company has resolved to make partial amendments to its shareholder special benefit plan (the “Amendments”) at a meeting of the Board of Directors held on March 6, 2020, as outlined below.
1. Purpose of the Amendments
The motivations behind the Amendments are as follows:
- to express the Company’s gratitude to its shareholders for their continued support,
- to facilitate a greater understanding of the Company’s businesses among shareholders, and
- to seek shareholders’ long-lasting interest in the Company’s stock.
2. Outline of the Amendments
Benefits will be enhanced for those shareholders who own the Company’s shares equal to or more than its share unit (100 shares) for three years or longer.
1) Music box (by application or lot) (for shareholders of record on March 31, 2020)

*Those who own the Company’s shares for 10 years or longer may choose either A) or B) above when applying.
2) Tour to the Company (by application or lot) (for shareholders of record on September 30, 2020)

With the above tour to be held in June the following year, shareholders will have their status checked to see if they own shares equal to or more than the Company’s share unit based on the list of shareholders as of the end of March.

- Music box:
Applicable to the shareholders whose names appear or are recorded on the list of shareholders as of March 31, 2020 (Application instructions and other information will be provided in the report to the Company’s shareholders <“Kabunushi Tsushin” (Japanese only)>, to be delivered at around mid-June 2020, after the completion of the Regular General Meeting of Shareholders.)
- Company tour:
Applicable to the shareholders whose names appear or are recorded on the list of shareholders as of September 30, 2020 (Application instructions and other information will be provided in the report to the Company’s shareholders for the second financial quarter <“Dai-ni Shihanki Kabunushi Tsushin” (Japanese only)>, to be delivered late November to early December 2020.)
