Nidec Advance Technology Corporation Establishes a Subsidiary in India

Nidec Advance Technology Corporation (“Nidec Advance Technology Corporation” or “we”) today announced that it has established a subsidiary, Nidec Advance Technology India Private Limited, in Bangalore, Karnataka State in the Republic of India, for the purposes of, among others, software development for inspection systems, and designing of jigs, and that the new company will commence business operations on September 1, 2024.

1. Backgrounds of the establishment of Nidec Advance Technology India Private Limited
Recent years have been witnessing an increasing demand for enhancing the functions of Nidec Advance Technology Corporation’s semiconductor and printed circuit board package inspection systems, increasing the numbers of items for the development of embedded software. Executing center of excellence (CoE) contracts with Indian universities since 2022, Nidec Advance Technology Corporation has been utilizing talented software personnel to conduct basic research
in collaboration with educational institutions.

By building Nidec Advance Technology India Private Limited in Bangalore, home to a flourishing IT industry, Nidec Advance Technology Corporation aims to build a system to develop and design products closer to the fields of those ordered by our customers. It is toward this end that we are planning to utilize abundant engineers to develop software for our company’s inspection systems, design jigs, develop test benches, expand our company’s inspection systems in the Indian market, and engage in many other business operations in order to better provide our technical services and support.

In addition, Nidec Advance Technology India Private Limited will act as a software development base of both Nidec Advance Technology Corporation and the entire Nidec Group as well.
