Glossary of Motor Terms
Remanence,Remanent magnetization
The strength of the magnetization remaining after applying a strong external magnetic field to the ferromagnetic material and then removing it. Remanence is usually denoted as Br or Br but here the symbol BR is adopted to avoid confusion with the radial component of magnetic-flux density vector B.
