Power-window motor
The motor used to open and close the window in an automobile. It consists of a DC motor combined with a worm
gear. A sensor is mounted on the worm gear to generate pulse signals and transmit to the control module of the
window. The control module works out rotational direction, speed and position from the sensor signals.
In some models, if the calculated rotation speed is lower than the command speed, it is judged that the window
glass is pinching some object and the "Anti-pinch system" is activated.
Some modules have a function to judge that the window glass pinches some object when the calculated rotation
speed is lower than the command value and activate the anti-pinch system incorporated in the system.
Similar mechanisms are employed to power-slide doors and power lift
gates as a current trend.
