Outer-rotor motor
In contrast to the inner-rotor type, this type of motor has coils on the inside and magnets on the outside, and these magnets serve as a rotor. This is called the outer-rotor type. Compared with the inner-rotor type, the rotating shaft of the outer-rotor type motor has a greater moment of inertia. The advantages, however, are that the magnet does not have to be downsized and coil winding is easier.
